Agile/Scrum for Hardware and Software Developers
At Big Orange Square, our firm is dedicated to helping your team learn the ins and outs of agile/Scrum. While we have developed special techniques for helping manufacturing teams learn and apply these principles, we began our careers working with software and hardware developers. During these years, we worked with teams of all sizes, from startups to multinational corporations, and we learned how to apply these principles to different kinds of teams who had different goals.
Eventually, our skills led us to work with some of the largest companies in the world. These projects were some of the most complex anyone could be expected to manage, but we managed to teach every team something that helped them better achieve their goals, and we know that we can help your group see an improvement, too!
As a way of saying thanks for signing up for our email list, click the button to receive a PDF download of an article that talks about how Hubert Smits used John Kotter’s 8-Step Process to implement large-scale process change at a worldwide tech company. In the article, Smits and co-author Kathleen Rilliet talk through the process and how they managed to get many employees (more than 2,500) on more than 40 separate teams to work together. By teaching these teams how to use iterative development (breaking development into smaller pieces that can be managed by smaller teams working side by side with other teams simultaneously working on other parts of software), Smits and Rilliet saw results that they wanted to and found others that they were surprised by.
As stressed in the report, while the processes and tools are important, it is vital to take each team on its own merits and build a plan that plays off of the strength of the individuals and the team as a whole. At Big Orange Square, we approach each new session this way. There is no “one-size-fits-all” way of implementing the agile/Scrum framework, so we take the time to make it work for you.
As a valued recipient of our emails, you’ll receive exclusive information on new seminars and training opportunities. We always welcome emails from companies looking to streamline and maximize their product and software development abilities. We have a training center open now in Colorado and another opening in Florida later this year, so you can bring your team to us or we can come to you.
